It was a display that firmly established their title credentials as they consolidated their position at the WSL pinnacle.

This outcome marked consecutive WSL losses for the United manager's side for the maiden instance since May 2024, placing them a sizable gap off the league leaders with their championship aspirations in serious doubt.
